Construction workers building a structure

God is good—and that’s an understatement! The blessing of the Lord is surrounding His people in extraordinary ways. What an incredible time in history to be part of His work around the world.

Over the past month, the SOM South America team has been serving in a region where devastating floods displaced thousands of believers. Together with local partners, we’ve provided disaster relief, food, and supplies, and helped communities rebuild homes and restore hope.

Among the latest projects underway is the construction of a guest house to serve visiting missionaries who come to strengthen and encourage local churches.

The Word Goes Out

A remarkable spiritual awakening is spreading across this area. Indigenous believers who have been faithfully sharing the Gospel are now reaching far beyond their own communities into nearby towns and cities. The hunger for God’s Word is growing so rapidly that church leaders have requested tens of thousands of additional Bibles.

By God’s grace, generous supporters have already helped provide more than 50,000 New Testaments in native languages—along with an equal number of complete Spanish Bibles. These gifts are transforming lives in some of the most remote and hard-to-reach places. Thank you for continuing to invest in sharing God’s Word where it’s needed most.

Preparing for Growth

In another area of South America, a local leader has donated land for a new ministry center that will serve as a hub for leadership training and conferences. The site is in a secure location where pastors from surrounding regions can gather for biblical teaching and encouragement.

Construction materials are being prepared, and Indigenous pastor-carpenters are volunteering their time to help with the first phase of the building. Congregations across multiple tribal communities are even taking special offerings to send their workers. The goal is to have the initial structure ready for upcoming leadership gatherings early next year.

Meanwhile, another facility completed earlier this year is already serving hundreds of church leaders for regional training events. Plans are also underway for a Christian radio station that could reach listeners across several hundred miles—amplifying the gospel message even further.

The Good News continues to move swiftly through South America. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and generosity as we equip and encourage those who carry the message of Christ to the ends of the earth.
