Highlighting a Global Ambassador and an activity they have planned and executed.

This month’s GA Feature is Assister Tammy from Arizona.

David and Cindy Witt were first alerted to Tammy’s gift of hospitality when they attended her daughter’s wedding. Tammy and her husband, Darrell, made the food and decorations for around 300 people. David and Cindy invited Tammy to host the SOM International staff Christmas party sometime afterward.

The first year, Tammy focused on decorating and preparing the room, using caterers to provide the food. But after that, Tammy did the cooking to keep costs down.

“I wanted to serve the Persecuted Church by using the funds wisely,” Tammy said.

Tammy also finds great joy in team-building. She invites teenagers to serve the food, teaching them to be a blessing to others through presentation, serving, and manners.

How can you use your gift of hospitality to serve the persecuted church?

  1. Invite friends to your home for a meal and a prayer night for the Persecuted Church.
  2. Provide a dish or two for a potluck for your Bible study. Share a short testimony of the Persecuted Church and invite others to pray for a few minutes.
  3. Bring a dessert to your small group meeting and offer a few copies of your favorite SOM book to others.
