Purifying Water Systems Making a Global Difference
SOM International assists leaders in communicating God’s Word with practical tools like portable water purification systems.
When the water is pure, the village flourishes and the community is purged of toxins and impurities on the inside and out. The absence of clean drinking water leads to a variety of health hazards and life-threatening repercussions.
In the same way, water symbolizes the power of the Holy Spirit, working through the Word of God to change lives and bring about transformation. Jesus speaks of living water that He provides in which His followers will never thirst.
“But the water I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)
Take a few minutes to consider what God is doing around the world in serving those who are finding deep satisfaction in the abundance of the Living Water and the Living Word.
Developing Clean Water Systems in Colombia
Leaders in Colombia have pioneered CampWater, Clean Water/Clean Message, in developing filtered water systems to outlying remote areas. The outcast and persecuted tribal believers are now thriving because of a sustainable clean water system.
Open Floodgates in India
The population of India of 1.3 billion people, represents about 18% of the world population of 7 billion. However, India only accounts for 4% of the world’s fresh water supply. India lacks good infrastructure and has issues with unabated water pollution.
Recently, SOM India has distributed the hope of Living Water to remote areas and also delivered clean water to 74 remote Hindu villages with just 1 portable system! As a result, 23 home church fellowships emerged from the outreach.
Provide Clean Water to a Village
Portable filtration systems clean 3,000 gallons of water a day and can serve a village up to 600 people. With one portable system, about 75 villages can be reached with clean water and the gospel message.
One Portable Water System: $4,500 | Every Drip in the Bucket Matters: Any Amount
