Ask God for wisdom as you seek like-minded people eager to support our persecuted family through SOM International. Look in your network—friends, family, and acquaintances—and pray for them. Ask God to stir their hearts and open doors for conversations about our persecuted family.

2. Host Informative Gatherings

Host a gathering at your home or church to share powerful SOM testimonies, pray together for the Persecuted Church, and invite people to subscribe to the SOM International newsletter. Remember the four W’s for effective meetings. You can grow a committed group of supporters.

3. Leverage Your Interests for Wider Outreach

Where do you already go? Think about gatherings where you can introduce the work of SOM International—a book club, community fair, or hobby group. You can invite folks to sign up for the newsletter and learn more about speaking for our persecuted brothers and sisters. You reach a broader audience and make new friends.

4. Engage with Your Church Community

Share inspiring SOM testimonies during your small group meetings. Encourage members to sign up for the SOM International newsletter. Represent SOM International at your church’s mission conference. Invite an SOM speaker to address your congregation. Publicize the event, staff the SOM resource table, and talk to the people to spread the word.

5. Build and Nurture Relationships

Follow up with the people to build relationships and expand your network. Set a date for your next gathering and look for emerging leaders within your group. Schedule one-on-one coffee meetings with “people worth watching” to get to know them. Brainstorm how they can contribute to SOM International’s mission.
