Global Ambassador Feature

Highlighting a Global Ambassador and an activity they have planned and executed.

This month’s GA Feature is Worship and Prayer Team member Randy from Georgia.

Randy is an active Global Ambassador and returned from a trip to Kenya in January. Randy has been a strong advocate for our Persecuted Church family.

Randy is the pastor of Light of Christ Church, a small country church that is passionate about homeless outreach and serving the Persecuted Church. “God draws us into what He’s already doing,” Randy said. “When we hear good reports, we know it’s an answer to prayer.” Randy continued, “We can meet physical needs in our strength. But we can only meet spiritual needs by bathing an outreach in prayer.”

Randy and his leadership recently hosted SOM Vice President Dave Arden to speak at a “camp meeting” style prayer event to pray for the Persecuted Church.

“We went around the world that night in prayer,” Dave Arden said. “Light of Christ ministry spent many hours of prayerful preparation for this event and invited their community. We saw the Kingdom expand through prayer.”

The evening service began with vibrant worship from strong voices and lasted two and a half hours. Dave Arden spoke on how the apostle Paul overcame numerous attacks to carry the Gospel forward and shared stories of overcoming believers in restricted nations. Pastor Randy said the people were blessed.

It’s a blessing to be involved with SOM International because we have the same heart.
