Unfortunately, even though I was married for ten years and blessed with two children, my husband left me in 2016 because he was in a relationship with another woman. I was heartbroken. Alone and unskilled, I could not qualify for any job. We were dependent upon my husband to make our living, so when he walked out of our lives, we were empty, in body and spirit. Not only did I need a new job skill, but I needed to overcome the isolation that this situation created.

Overcoming Isolation After Coming Out of Hinduism

Though I came out of Hinduism to find Christ, I was not living close to the Lord.

The Lord began to convict me to regain the joy of my salvation and experience the extraordinary grace I received before I was married. The dear Lord began to speak to me from the Psalms these verses below, and I cried out one night to God to restore the joy of salvation and the renewing of my spirit.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit. Psalm 51:10-12.

Lord Reconciling the Lost Back to Him

Thankfully, our Lord did a great thing in my life as I prayed for the salvation of my husband. The Lord returned my husband to me to reconcile our relationship. I believe God answered that prayer for his salvation.

We renewed our life together for a few months in early 2019. Sadly, he passed away in the middle of the year. We were living with his parents, and due to Hindu customs, I was literally put in a room for three months and not even allowed to see my children’s faces. My soul was in deep grief, with the death and isolation, but the Lord blessed me greatly with His presence.

I began praying hard that the Lord would free me from the grip of my in-law’s Hindu practices and help me to become a living witness. I started looking for more Christian families and friends to live in the community.

Sewing Discipleship School Bringing Hope and Deliverance from Isolation

At last, the Lord answered my prayers through a woman from the sewing ministries. She shared how widows are making a significant impact for Jesus and how the sewing trade is a great way to make a living.

I enrolled in the 18th class and trained in the Word of God and sewing skills to provide a living and a future. Praise God I received a sewing machine as a great gift. The Lord is using me to reach out to hundreds of women.
